No such page exists. 20 August 2009 - Indianapolis Indiana NewEnglandActor The union claims that was once you go Fi-core, you can't put "SAG" on your resume or other materials. Is this just a scare tactic? How could they actually stop you from doing this? When I go on a union audition, I like to have SAG on my resume. ------------------------------------- MP: Of course it's a scare tactic. Nobody can tell you what you can and can't put on your resume, no more than they can tell you what you can put on your business cards, photos, demo reels or underwear. 7 August 2009 - Boston, MA William Jones I went SAG Fi-Core last February. It's the best thing I could have done. I was wondering what would happen if SAG and AFTRA merged. I'm not in AFTRA now. Would I automatically be Fi-Core in the new merged union or would I need to reapply for Fi-Core status or what? ---------------------------------- MP: I could have sworn that SAG and AFTRA had merged years ago. I don't keep up with union politics, so I may have outdated info. Anyway, if they're not currently merged and they do eventually merge, I would imagine your financial core status would carry over. West Africa Stacey Thanks for the reply :-) I PA a lot for producers so I see what you mean, but it appears that the industry doesn't take you seriously if you're not a member of a union, like you're an amateur despite your extensive work. Do you ever come across such mentalities? If so, how do you prevent it from affecting you professionally? --------------------------------------- MP: The moment your movie earns someone money, you are taken plenty seriously.
